I started Decor Studio by LA at the end of 2022, because I wanted to be financially independent without ever leaving home.
I started with 0 students, 0 candles sold, and no real plan — just a frustration I couldn't shake.
I was piecing candle making together from free YouTube tutorials that made it look easy. My kitchen told a different story — ten problems would show up that no video ever mentioned.
So I did my own research — burning wax, burning my fingers, and burning through more money than I'd like to admit — until the fundamentals finally clicked.
Then I said yes to teaching. My first batch had 23 women, ages 18 to 70+ — every one a complete beginner, trusting me to teach them something they could call their own.
