If we haven't met before — hi, I'm Laiba 👋
I started Decor Studio by LA at the end of 2022, because I wanted to be financially independent without ever leaving home.
I started with 0 students, 0 candles sold, and no real plan — just a frustration I couldn't shake.
I was piecing candle making together from free YouTube tutorials that made it look easy. My kitchen told a different story — ten problems would show up that no video ever mentioned.
So I did my own research — burning wax, burning my fingers, and burning through more money than I'd like to admit — until the fundamentals finally clicked.
Then I said yes to teaching. My first batch had 23 women, ages 18 to 70+ — every one a complete beginner, trusting me to teach them something they could call their own.
27 batches and 700+ students later, I've built exactly what I set out for — an income that keeps growing, without ever asking me to choose between it and my family.
What Our Students Have To Say…
Whether you're here for the hobby or the income, it starts the same way.
"I finally got the whipped texture right — it wasn't luck, I actually understood why it works now."— Dessert Candle student
"These sell themselves on Instagram. I joined for fun, now I'm taking pre-orders."— Dessert Candle student
It's not talent. It's knowing the technique.
A realistic whipped texture, a clean drip effect, a candle that actually looks like the dessert it's modeled on — none of it is luck or artistic talent. Every one of these has a specific, learnable technique behind it. Once you know it, "how did you make that?" stops feeling like a compliment you can't explain.
Throughout my time teaching, students kept asking how to make dessert-style candles that actually look right — not lopsided, not melted-looking, but genuinely believable as the dessert they're modeled on.
So I built this course to teach the specific techniques behind each style — the whipped texture, the drip effect, the layering — not just a single tutorial to copy.
This is the same system that took my own candle making from constant trial and error to a business other women started asking to learn from — applied specifically to dessert-style candles.
And it's already helped students learn styles like laddu, cake, and no-mold ice cream candles — most of them starting with absolutely zero experience.
As you work your way through the course, here's a flavour of what you'll learn:
The Foundation Rules
Must-have tools and materials, choosing the right wax, and the basics of candle making — everything the rest of the course builds on.
Classic Dessert Shapes
Laddu candles, cake candles with drip cream, and cupcake candles with whipped cream.
Whipped & No-Mold Techniques
Whipped cream jar candles, latte candles, and no-mold ice cream candles — the techniques that make people ask if it's actually real.
Three weeks. A simple weekly rhythm, repeated until you finish.
This is a 3-week course, built around one repeating weekly cycle — so you always know what to expect, week to week:
New recorded video lessons are released. Watch them whenever your day allows.
Practice what you learned at home, at your own pace, before the live class.
A live Zoom class — direct feedback on what you've made, plus Q&A with me.
We repeat this same rhythm every week until the course is complete.
Okay, I get it — but what's actually in the course?
Great question 😃
